With the Materneo feeding system, Asserva extends its Selfifeeder concept on lactating sows. The objective is to prepare the animal for its next farrowing, to improve its lactation and to eliminate feed waste.
With a pneumatic wheel dispenser which measures feed, each portion is delivered in small doses (100 to 200g) according to the animal appetite and its ingestion rythm. The TIT System (Trough Inspection Technology) in the bottom of the trough enables the distribution of the feed each time it detects an empty trough.
The sows eat at their own pace and appetite according to their feeding curve - with no wasted feed. Each dose is delivered with a water dose. Between meals, water distribution curves can be preset.
The daily water portion is also delivered in small quantities. Thus, the sow always has fresh water in the trough. These elements improves the sow consumption and lactation.
But, the Materneo system doesn’t stop here and can go even further. It is able to control the silos supply and to detect the farrowing with a special camera. In a nutshell, Materneo is an utter concept for farrowing management.

As a real performance tool, Materneo makes feeding management for farrowing sows easier. The breeder doesn't need to drain, to clean the troughs nor to set manual feeders. It has consumption alerts and can be managed remotely. Materneo improves working conditions and saves time to the breeder so that they can focus on their core business : the animals.
Materneo offers various zootechnical benefits. On the one hand, moist feed distribution by micro-doses according to the animal eating pace boosts the intake. The aim is to wean the sow, so it can be ready for its next cycle. On the other hand, feed savings as well as water management are undeniably strong assets for a good lactation.
Asserva, with the Selfifeeder, provides an alternative and innovative solution to manage the gestating sows feeding in group. Unlike ESF stations, the Selfifeeder reduces waiting times, lowers stress and makes the sows easier to manage, static batch by static batch. With a lower cost and an easier mechanical system, the Selfifeeder concept has 3 to 4 times more feeders than an ESF station. The sow that is allowed to access to feeding enters one of the feeders and is directly isolated from the rest of the animals by an automatic back gate. A RFID antenna recognizes the animal electronic chip and distribute the feed, according to the feeding plan. The next measure will follow as soon as the level sensors will detect that the trough is empty, and so on, until the complete ingestion of the daily allowance. Distribution is adapted for each sow without any feed stolen or wasted.

Easy to use, Selfifeeder reports the differents tasks that were carried out, the potential incidents and the animals behaviour (underconsumption, return in heat...). In other words, an increased monitoring for a better reactivity.

Storage vat for damp corn + water : Designed by Asserva, the capacity of the modular vat can be changed to suit your needs. It prepares the feed by mixing corn and water. Available capacity: 300 to 30,000 litres.
Damp corn pump to soup machine : The turbines and pumps used to transport the corn and liquid feed have been strengthened. Pumps come in stainless steel.
Feed collector auger transporting feed to soup machine : A collector auger is used to transfer feed to soup machine. A single point of output for feed makes it easier to wash and improves hygiene.
Soup preparation and distribution machines : Asserva provides a range of vats to meet your farm's specific needs: stainless steel, polyester and rotational moulded, to guarantee hygiene and feed quality. They are fitted with slow stainless steel mixer and variable gears that take into account the speed at which the vat is being filled.
Soup distribution machine : To manage issues arising from the distance between different farm buildings, a preparatory vat can be connected to another vat that is used solely to distribute feed.
Menu separation : The menu separation vat is used to distribute different kinds of feed using the same pipe, without mixing them. Water meals can be distributed when the machine is not in use.
Distribution of soup to farrowing sow : Feed distribution for pregnant sows is managed using a special, precision valve. Combined with a gauge built into the stainless steel trough, it automatically modulates portions for each animal.
Distribution of soup to gestating sows : Attachments and bolts are all made of stainless steel to avoid corrosion.
Distribution of soup for finishing : Fitted with tubular valves, this distribution method is perfect for damp corn.

Result of analyzing the breeder's needs and constraints, Filtranet combines ease of use and maintenance. Sanitary asset of your farm, Filtranet is also economical with its low electrical consumption. Reliable, Filtranet is set up on a double turbine, has a sliding G4 pre filter and enables to easily mount the filters. Its use and maintenance are easier, in the service of the breeders, thanks to a remote access and control by internet or wifi.
